Divorce, child custody, child support and Parental Alienation for separated fathers according to Alec Baldwin

In this interview with CNN, actor Alec Baldwin talks about his personal experience of divorce and child custody issues. He supports equal shared parenting for men who want to assume their parental responsibilities. He mentions West Virginian family law which bases custody on the parents parenting roles before their divorce.

Michael McCormick from American Coalition for Fathers and Children (ACFC) explains that Parental Alienation can vary from ‘mild’ to ‘severe’ in frustrating the non-custodial parent from being involved in their child’s life and upbringing. He also claims that the family law system as it is set up actually ‘enables alienators’.

Finally, Mark Tabb, co-author of A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce, gives an example of how Parental Alienation can also be directed against a mother.
